Ted Weiss T. Weiss Realty (TWR) has been a name synonymous with quality commercial property for over 30 years. Ted Weiss founded the company in 1969 and has since concentrated on the conversion of light industrial properties into Class A office space. Since the company's inception, Ted has focused on providing TWR tenants with not only high quality office space, but also numerous value-added services that support the success and growth of their businesses. Ted strives to keep the company on the forefront of office technology. TWR buildings are some of the first in the region to be completely outfitted with the latest in telecommunications wiring and are among the leaders in providing workplace WiFi accessibility. Ted has also implemented the philosophy of servicing both the corporations that sign the lease and the employees that use the facility. Ted has incorporated numerous "stress free" areas in TWR buildings, such as meditation gardens, fitness facilities and corporate break rooms. Today, TWR has achieved one of the area's highest rates of tenant retention. Consistent with TWR's pledge to fulfill its tenants' every need, Ted established TOTUS Office Solutions and Conference and Meeting Centers of Long Island in 2001. Both companies have achieved a significant presence in the Melville and Hauppauge business districts. In 2003, Ted initiated the development of the Melville Executive Forum in an effort to attract and retain young, educated professionals to the Melville and greater Long Island area. Ted brought together area business, government, non-profit and education leaders to help achieve this goal. Currently, the forum is working on numerous projects, including the development of internship programs, leisure sports leagues and networking functions geared toward young professionals. Ted's commitment to the Long Island business community also includes memberships with the Long Island Association, Huntington Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Industrial Brokers Society. Ted also serves on the Route 110 Redevelopment Corp., a group affiliated with the Towns of Huntington and Babylon and commissioned to take measure of the economic well being of this key business corridor. Dedicated to the betterment of Long Island, Ted's energies extend beyond TWR's professional associations. He has worked with and contributed to a multitude of charities including Toys of Hope, Make-A-Wish-Foundation, UJA and the Huntington Holiday House. He currently sits on the board of the Family Service League and was honored by the organization in 2002. The March of Dimes has also honored Ted for his work.
Marci E. Skeahan has attained a position of prominence and leadership in the traditionally male dominated field of commercial real estate. Over the past fifteen years with TWR, she has risen through the company ranks and mentored many women throughout the course of her career. In addition, she plays a leading role in each stage of development as T. Weiss Realty grows and evolves. As Chief Operating Officer at T. Weiss’ eight office properties on Long Island with responsibility for office operations, the entire company staff, maintenance, facilities, construction and finance. She also serves as the sales and leasing representative for all three T. Weiss companies and is an expert in lease negotiations and legal proceedings. Marci Skeahan joined T. In July 2005, Marci was named Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the firm, she managed the Queens office of Charles H. Greenthal, a residential property management firm. Rich DiVenti oversees the entire construction arm of T. Weiss Realty Corp. and its two affiliate companies. In this capacity, Rich is responsible for managing and coordinating all of TWR's construction jobs from beginning to end. This includes the development of new T. Weiss Realty properties, built-to-suit office space and space renovation. Over the last year, he has been particularly involved in the new construction of T. Weiss Realty’s four story, 133,050 square foot infrastructure, Melville Corporate Center III, which is scheduled to open this month (March 2007). A lifelong interest in construction has led Mr. DiVenti to pursue architectural and trade courses as early as high school and through out his thirty five years in the industry which have found him at work in a variety of trades and project management positions. Prior to joining T. Weiss Realty in 2001, Rich spent 10 years building biotech and cosmetic laboratories on Long Island. He also has extensive experience in the construction of housing complexes, restaurants and gas stations. DiVenti has always maintained his hands-on approach to each of his projects and responsibilities. “T. Weiss is an owner managed firm that takes great pride in being responsive to tenant needs. Essentially I’m on call 24-7 but our clients really appreciate the service we provide,” he says.
